Agreement Overview
Welcome to Chain Pot ("Platform", "Service"), a platform of skill-based, real-time multiplayer games built on the Solana blockchain. The Platform hosts more than one game — including the snake-style arena (Chain Pot) and the 2D football match (Chain Cup) — and may add further games over time; these Terms apply to all of them ("Game" or "Games"). By accessing or using our application, you ("User", "Player", "you") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
📋 Summary: This document covers your rights and obligations when using chain-pot, including entry fees, fair play rules, and liability limitations. Please read carefully before playing.
1. Skill-Based Gaming Classification
1.1 Nature of Competition
Chain Pot is a skill-based game where outcomes are determined predominantly by:
- Physical dexterity and reaction time
- Strategic decision-making
- Pattern recognition and spatial awareness
- Experience and practice
- Game knowledge and map awareness
- Teamwork, positioning, and coordination (in team-based games such as Chain Cup football)
1.2 Not a Game of Chance
Unlike games of chance, the outcome of each match is not determined by random number generators, dice rolls, or any element of luck. Players compete directly against each other in real-time, and the most skilled player — or, in team games, the most skilled team — wins.
1.3 Skill Predominance
Statistical analysis of gameplay demonstrates that player skill is the predominant factor in determining match outcomes. Factors such as:
- Win rate correlation with experience
- Consistent performance by top players
- Improvement over time with practice
All support the classification of chain-pot as a game of skill.
2. Entry Fees, Commissions & Payouts
2.1 Entry Fees (Wagers)
- Players participate by committing Solana (SOL) as an entry fee
- Entry fees are pooled into a match pot (FIX / DUO / SNAKE / football FB*) or held as a per-room balance (CASHOUT)
- Minimum and maximum entry amounts are displayed before each match
- Entry fee tiers: 0.1 SOL, 0.5 SOL, 1.0 SOL, and additional fixed-size FIX tiers (FIX3 / FIX5 / FIX10 / FIX15 / FIX20)
- CASHOUT rooms run continuously at three tiers: 0.1 SOL, 0.5 SOL, and 1.0 SOL
- Football matches (FB1V1 … FB8V8, two teams of 1–8) charge a fixed per-seat entry (default 0.1 SOL per player); every seat on both teams stakes into the same match pot
2.2 Platform Commission
| Match Type | Commission | Additional Fees |
|---|---|---|
| FIX (3+ players, fixed-size) | 5% per seat | None |
| SNAKE (casual last-snake) | 5% per seat | None |
| FOOTBALL (FB1V1–FB8V8, team) | 5% per seat | None — every seat on both teams pays the same per-seat commission. |
| DUO (1v1 Duels) | 5% per seat | A per-seat anti-spam floor of 0.01 SOL applies — at very small entries the effective per-seat fee bumps up to that floor (capped at 100% of entry). |
| CASHOUT (always-open arenas) | Flat 0.02 SOL per join (on top of entry) | The 0.02 SOL fee is paid by the player when they spawn into the room. No fee is taken at cash-out — your in-room bank settles to your wallet net of on-chain gas only. |
2.3 Winner Payouts
- The match winner — or, in team games (football), the winning team — receives 95% of the total pot (a winning team splits it equally, with any indivisible rounding dust going to one member)
- Payouts are processed automatically via smart contract within seconds
- Funds are deposited directly to your connected wallet
- No withdrawal requests required – winnings are instant
2.4 Match Types & Prize Distribution
| Match Type | Players | Winner Takes / Payout Model |
|---|---|---|
| DUO (1v1) | 2 | 95% of pot to the winner; the remaining 5% is the platform commission (per-seat) |
| FIX | 3–20 (fixed) | 95% of pot to last surviving snake |
| SNAKE | dynamic | 95% of pot to last surviving snake |
| FOOTBALL | 2–16 (two teams) | Timed match — most goals at full time wins (a tie goes to golden-goal sudden death). 95% of the pot goes to the winning side: a single winner (FB1V1) takes it all; a winning team (FB2V2 and larger) splits it equally, with any rounding dust going to one member. The other 5% is platform commission (per-seat). |
| CASHOUT | always-open arena | Each kill credits the killer with the victim's entry fee (held in their per-room balance). Wall / boundary deaths convert the dying player's balance into fee pellets that other players can collect. Players cash out their balance at any time via on-chain settlement; the 0.02 SOL platform fee is paid at JOIN (on top of the entry tier), not at cash-out. |
2.5 Refund Policy
⚠️ Important: All entry fees are final once a match begins. However:
- Waiting Rooms: You may leave any match lobby while the status is "Waiting". Your entry fee is automatically refunded to your wallet via the smart contract.
- 1v1 Cancellations: Room creators can cancel a pending 1v1 match if no opponent has joined. The full entry is refunded (only on-chain transaction gas is forfeited).
- Active Matches: Funds cannot be refunded for voluntary exits, disconnects, or elimination once the match starts.
- CASHOUT Rooms: Entry fees in CASHOUT rooms are not refundable. Once you spawn, your fee is held as your in-room balance and is at risk: kills credit other players, and dying drops your balance as collectible pellets. You may withdraw your remaining balance at any time via the cash-out action; voluntary disconnects without cashing out forfeit any unclaimed balance.
2.6 Revenue Share Rewards
To reward top performers, the Platform distributes 10% of total monthly platform revenue to the top 3 players in each of the following categories:
- Total Score — game-specific points: pellets eaten in the snake modes (SNAKE / DUO / FIX) + CASHOUT pellets collected, and goals scored in football matches
- Eliminations / Goals — snake-vs-snake kills in the snake modes, and goals scored in football, attributed to the player
- Games Played — number of matches the player participated in across all games (snake matches, CASHOUT sessions, and football matches)
Leaderboards and these reward categories are tracked separately per game — your snake standing and your Chain Cup (football) standing are independent of one another.
Distribution:
- 1st Place: 2% of revenue
- 2nd Place: 1% of revenue
- 3rd Place: 0.3% of revenue
Rewards are calculated at the end of each calendar month and distributed manually within 7 days. Distribution may be paused or adjusted at the Platform's discretion if anti-cheat or fairness concerns are identified prior to payout.
2.7 Referral Program
The Platform operates a referral program that pays existing players a share of the platform fee paid by users they introduce. The program is governed by the following rules:
2.7.1 Sharing & Binding
- Each Player is issued a unique referral link and code, accessible from the Profile page.
- A new user becomes a "referee" of the inviting Player ("referrer") at the moment they first land on the Service through the referrer's link and connect a Solana wallet for the first time. The binding is recorded against the referee's wallet on first authentication.
- A wallet can only ever be bound to one referrer, and the binding is permanent and immutable — it cannot be reassigned, transferred, or removed at the Player's request.
- Self-referrals are prohibited. Any attempt to refer yourself, or to bind multiple wallets you control to each other, constitutes Referral System Abuse under §5.1 and forfeits the resulting balances.
2.7.2 Earnings
While a referee is within the active earning window, the referrer accrues 20% of the platform fee paid on every match the referee joins:
| Mode | Referrer's Earnings per Referee Seat |
|---|---|
| DUO / FIX / SNAKE / FOOTBALL | 20% of the 5% per-seat platform fee — i.e. ~1% of the referee's entry per seat (subject to the DUO floor in §2.2). |
| CASHOUT | 20% of the 0.02 SOL flat join fee — i.e. 0.004 SOL per CASHOUT join by the referee. |
Earnings are computed and credited automatically; no action by the referrer is required.
2.7.3 Earning Window
- The earning window is 365 days from the moment the referee's wallet is bound.
- After the window closes, no further credits accrue from that referee. Already-credited balances are not affected.
- The Platform may at its discretion extend, shorten, or pause the window for any individual binding in response to abuse, regulatory requirements, or anti-cheat findings (with the same notice obligations as §7.2).
2.7.4 Settlement & Claims
- For DUO / FIX / SNAKE rooms, the referrer's share is routed atomically by the on-chain program at the moment the referee's seat is settled — there is no off-chain queue or batch.
- For CASHOUT rooms, the referrer's share is routed atomically at the moment the referee joins the room.
- Earnings are reflected as a claimable balance on the referrer's Profile page, alongside the source room and referee wallet for each credit.
- A minimum claim threshold of 0.001 SOL applies to prevent wasted on-chain gas on negligible amounts.
- Claims are processed on-chain and settle to the referrer's wallet within seconds, identically to match payouts. Claim transactions are idempotent — duplicate submissions cannot pay out twice.
2.7.5 Eligibility Restrictions
- A referrer must hold a valid Player account (§3) in good standing. Banned, suspended, or terminated accounts forfeit any unclaimed referral balance and stop accruing future credits.
- Both the referrer and the referee must be eligible Persons under §3.1, §3.2, and §3.5. Credits attributable to a referee who is later determined to be a Restricted Person (§3.5) are reversible at the Platform's discretion.
- The Platform reserves the right to invalidate, claw back, or withhold referral credits where Referral System Abuse (§5.1) is suspected, including but not limited to circular referrals, multi-account schemes, wash trading between bound wallets, or coordinated abuse.
2.7.6 Modifications
The Platform may modify the referral share, earning window, claim minimum, or any other parameter of the program with the notice required by §7.2 (modifications to fee structures). Material changes will not retroactively reduce already-credited balances.
