Important Notice
⚠️ Read Carefully: Playing Chain Pot involves real financial risk. You could lose all funds you wager. Only play with money you can afford to lose completely.
This document outlines the risks associated with using Chain Pot. By participating, you acknowledge and accept these risks. This is not a comprehensive list—other risks may exist.
🛑 Stop and consider: Before you play, ask yourself: "Can I afford to lose this money entirely?" If the answer is no, do not play.
1. Risk of Total Loss
1.1 Match Outcome Risk
- When you enter a match, you wager SOL against other players
- If you lose, you lose your entire entry fee (up to 1.0 SOL in Elite tiers)
- There is no guarantee of winning, regardless of skill level
- Even the most skilled players can and will lose matches
- In team games (football), your outcome depends on your whole team — you can lose your entry because of teammates' performance, disconnects, or coordination, not only your own play
- Past performance does not guarantee future results
1.2 Loss Scenarios
| Scenario | Outcome |
|---|---|
| You lose a 1v1 match | 100% of your entry fee is lost |
| Your football team loses | 100% of your entry fee is lost — the winning team splits the whole pot, so your stake is gone regardless of how well you personally played. |
| You disconnect mid-match | Entry fee is forfeited if match ends |
| You exit voluntarily | Entry fee is forfeited |
| Server issues during match | Entry should be refunded in short time |
| CASHOUT: killed by another player | Your in-room balance (entry + collected pellets) transfers to the killer. Total loss of staked balance. |
| CASHOUT: wall / boundary death | Your in-room balance is dropped as collectible pellets. Other players who collect them gain that balance; uncollected pellets expire after 30 seconds. |
| CASHOUT: voluntary disconnect without cashing out | Any unclaimed balance is forfeited. Always tap "Cash Out" before leaving. |
1.3 No Insurance or Recovery
- Lost wagers cannot be recovered under any circumstances
- The Platform does not compensate for gameplay losses
- No "undo" or refund mechanisms exist once a match starts
- There is no insurance fund or player protection scheme
- Skill does not eliminate the possibility of loss
1.4 Cumulative Loss Risk
- Losses can accumulate quickly over multiple matches
- A losing streak can deplete your entire balance
- The house edge (5% commission) means long-term expected returns are negative without consistent winning
2. Cryptocurrency Volatility
2.1 Price Fluctuations
The value of Solana (SOL) is extremely volatile:
| Scenario | Example |
|---|---|
| You win 1 SOL worth $100 | SOL drops 50% → now worth $50 |
| You hold winnings overnight | SOL rises 200% → now worth $300 |
| Market crash during session | All holdings lose significant value |
Historical SOL Volatility:
- SOL has experienced swings of 20%+ in a single day
- Multi-month drawdowns of 80%+ have occurred
- Past crashes have happened with little warning
2.2 Fiat Value Risk
- The fiat value (USD, EUR, etc.) of your SOL holdings can change dramatically
- A winning session can become a net loss in fiat terms due to price movement
- Conversely, losses can be offset by price appreciation—but don't count on it
- You may win in SOL but lose in purchasing power
2.3 No Fiat Guarantees
- We do not guarantee the fiat value of any winnings or holdings
- All transactions are denominated in SOL only
- We do not offer stablecoin options
- Currency conversion is your responsibility
2.4 Liquidity Risk
- In extreme market conditions, you may not be able to sell SOL at desired prices
- Exchange outages during volatility can trap your funds
- Slippage on large trades can reduce realized value
3. Blockchain Risks
3.1 Transaction Irreversibility
- Solana blockchain transactions are permanent and irreversible
- Funds sent to wrong addresses cannot be recovered
- Smart contract executions cannot be undone
- There is no "chargeback" or dispute mechanism on blockchain
- Mistakes are permanent
3.2 Network Issues
| Risk | Impact | Likelihood |
|---|---|---|
| Network congestion | Delayed transactions, missed matches | Occasional |
| Solana outages | Temporary inability to play or withdraw | Rare but has occurred |
| High fees during congestion | Increased transaction costs | During high activity |
| RPC provider failures | Connection issues | Occasional |
| Validator issues | Transaction failures | Rare |
| Chain halts | Complete service interruption | Very rare |
Historical Context:
- Solana has experienced multiple network outages in its history
- Some outages lasted several hours
- During outages, no transactions can be processed
3.3 Smart Contract Risk
- Smart contracts may contain undiscovered bugs or vulnerabilities
- While we audit our code, no audit is perfect
- Even audited contracts have been exploited in DeFi
- Exploits could potentially result in partial or total loss of funds
- The Platform is not liable for smart contract failures
Industry Context:
- Billions of dollars have been lost to smart contract exploits across crypto
- New attack vectors are discovered regularly
- Our contracts are open-source and audited, but risk remains
3.4 Consensus & Fork Risks
- Blockchain consensus mechanisms can fail
- Chain reorganizations could theoretically reverse transactions
- Hard forks could create uncertainty about fund ownership
- Protocol upgrades could introduce bugs
4. Technical & Operational Risks
4.1 Connectivity & Latency
- Internet disconnection during a match will likely result in loss
- Geo-Latency: Playing in a region distant from your physical location (e.g., EU player in AP region) increases lag and competitive disadvantage
- Mobile network instability can cause disconnects
- WiFi interference can cause momentary drops
- ISP issues are outside our control
You are responsible for:
- Stable internet connection
- Selecting the region closest to you for fair play
- Adequate bandwidth (1+ Mbps recommended)
- Backup connection if playing for high stakes
4.2 Device Compatibility
| Issue | Impact |
|---|---|
| Older hardware | Lag, crashes, poor performance |
| Insufficient RAM | Browser crashes |
| Outdated browser | Compatibility issues |
| Mobile devices | Touch controls less precise |
| Battery depletion | Sudden device shutdown |
Recommended Setup:
- Modern device (< 3 years old)
- Latest browser version (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge)
- Stable power source
- At least 4GB RAM available
4.3 Platform Availability
- The service may experience downtime for scheduled maintenance
- Maintenance Protocol: Active matches will be allowed to finish; waiting players will be refunded
- Unexpected outages can occur without warning
- No guarantee of 24/7 availability
- Maintenance windows are announced when possible
- Emergency maintenance may occur immediately
4.4 Software Bugs
- Despite testing, software bugs may exist
- Bugs could affect gameplay fairness
- Bugs could affect payouts
- We fix bugs as discovered, but cannot guarantee bug-free operation
- Compensation for bug-related issues is at our discretion
4.5 Collusion & Teaming Risks
- While strictly prohibited, other players may attempt to team up (cheat) against you in free-for-all matches.
- We employ smart algorithmic detection to identify unusual movement patterns and collaboration.
- Verified teaming results in bans and fund confiscation, but detection may not be instantaneous.
- You accept the risk that opponents may attempt to circumvent fair play rules.
5. Security Risks
5.1 Wallet Security
Your wallet is your responsibility:
| Threat | Your Responsibility | Consequence |
|---|---|---|
| Phishing attacks | Verify URLs before connecting | Total loss of funds |
| Malware | Keep devices secure, use antivirus | Total loss of funds |
| Compromised seed phrase | Never share, store offline | Total loss of funds |
| Unauthorized access | Use strong device security | Total loss of funds |
| SIM swapping | Use hardware 2FA where possible | Account compromise |
| Clipboard hijacking | Verify addresses before sending | Funds sent to attacker |
Best Practices:
- Use a hardware wallet for large holdings
- Never share your seed phrase with anyone
- Verify you're on the correct URL (chain-pot.io)
- Don't click links in DMs or emails
- Use a dedicated browser for crypto
5.2 Platform Security
- While we implement robust security measures, no system is impenetrable
- Data breaches can occur despite best efforts
- Smart contract exploits have occurred across the industry
- We cannot guarantee your funds are 100% safe
- Security is an ongoing process, not a destination
5.3 Third-Party Risks
- Wallet providers (Phantom, Solflare, etc.) have their own vulnerabilities
- RPC providers could be compromised
- Browser extensions could be malicious
- Your overall security is only as strong as your weakest link
6. Regulatory & Legal Risks

| Event | Potential Tax Implication |
|---|---|

| Receiving airdrops | Income tax |
- Cryptocurrency winnings may be taxable in your jurisdiction
